Here’s where I keep my small, but devoted (and hopefully growing) collection of
readers updated on what I’m working on and what stage my various projects are
in.
Focus this week: Continue writing on Revelations.
Revelations (Novel): Dani, descendant of a powerful line of sexual priestesses, and Michael, a shy behavioural therapist worker with psychic powers, must work together to find those who are seeking to capture and exploit those with paranormal abilities.
Status: In the home stretch! 5 chapters (10 000 words) to go before the first draft is done.
King of Underhill (Novel): Sequel to Lord of Underhill. Devlin must face the judgment of Oberon, High King of the Sidhe, for his actions. Oberon discovers Sara's allure for himself and tries to win her love. He holds her lover's life in his hands. Aine and Kynan must relearn how to work together as a team or risk losing all they have.
Status: On hold. There's a potential major rewrite for Lord of Underhill. Detailed outline up to chapter 10. Chapter 8 written.
Lord of Underhill (Novel): Sara thought she had long outgrown fairytales but when she is courted by Devlin, a powerful and charming Lord of the Sidhe, she must decide if she will fly on the wings of love or if her fear of a fall will keep her feet firmly planted on the ground. Devlin, drawn to the vivacious Sara on multiple levels, must figure out how to protect her as she is increasingly drawn into the dangerous world of myth and magic.
Status: 5th draft completed, lots of good suggestions from Catherine contest results. I'm thinking about a major overhaul for Sara's character. On hold for now.
Got Ghosts? (Short Story): Jessica, a medium and ghost hunter, has to overcome Greg’s skepticism in order to have any chance of clearing his sister-in-law’s house of malevolent and mischievious spirits.
Status: working on this one when I need a break. Having stalled out in the middle a few times, I'm trying a new technique. Writing backwards. Last four mini-chapters done.
